Each Expo will include 75 to 100 exhibitors and 25 to 30 speakers and panelists, and NCET expects 500 to 1,000 to attend the Reno Expo.
“Nevada was built by small businesses, and these small businesses are critical to Nevada’s future economic growth, vitality and diversity,” said Lt. Governor Brian K. Krolicki, chair of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development (NCED) and one of the expo’s sponsors.

Reno Entrepreneur Week events planned

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology and the Nevada Commission on Economic Development have scheduled Entrepreneurship Week 2008 events March 10–15 in northern Nevada.

nnbw logo#2 [Converted]Dave Archer, chief executive officer of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, said the events dubbed “eWeek” targets the 85 percent of companies in Nevada that have fewer than 20 employees. Among the week’s events will be NCET’s Entrepreneur Expo at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center March 15. The free event, which includes exhibitors, speakers and sponsors, will provide access to organizations that can help start a business, as well as advice on virtually every facet of running a business.

“The Expo is designed to provide ‘one-stop’ shopping for the resources and expertise anyone would need to start and grow a business here in the Silver State,” said Archer. He said organizers continue to line up experienced business people to join or sponsor the Expo.

Other eWeek events currently scheduled include a kick-off at Desert Research Center from 5:30-7:30 pm on March 10, an event sponsored by Northern Nevada Development Authority in Carson City on March 11, Wi-Fi Wednesday event on March 12 and the Business Buzz Breakfast sponsored by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada on March 13.
