Plan to hold your event during eWeek Nevada 2010

December 17th, 2009

Las Vegas – February 13 – 21, 2010

Reno – March 6 – 14, 2010

Nevada was built by entrepreneurs.  That entrepreneurial spirit is alive today, with 95% of Nevada’s companies having fewer than 20 employees.  Recent studies show that Nevada’s future economic growth, vitality and diversity will continue to be depend on small businesses. The goal of eWeek (or Entrepreneurship Week) is simple: Celebrate and encourage Nevada’s entrepreneurs — and aspiring entrepreneurs.

eWeek is coordinated by NCET, Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, a statewide organization that connects Nevadans to the resources they need to succeed.

Las Vegas and Reno hold separate eWeeks. During eWeek, many regional organizations — ranging from large firms to nonprofits — hold events that include open houses, seminars, and meet-and-greets. The events during eWeek should act as educational opportunities for prospective entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and small business owners.

NCET then promotes these eWeek events in emails, on websites, and in the material sent to media outlets throughout the state.

Please take our Las Vegas “NCET Entrepreneur And Small Business Expo” educational seminar survey

July 30th, 2009

20090729_Expo_EmailHead_v2

We’re pleased to announce that the 2010 NCET Entrepreneur and Small Business Expo will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa.

The Entrepreneur and Small Business Expo is designed to provide small businesses — and aspiring business owners — with the advice, resources, contacts and information needed to start or grow a successful business. For 2010, the Expo will feature over 100 exhibitors and a series of 45-minute educational seminars.

However, people told us that they sometimes had to choose between attending the educational sessions and visiting the exhibits. This year, we’re looking for new ways to offer additional seminars at times and days that won’t conflict with the exhibit floor hours.

We’d like your help in selecting the educational seminar topics and how best to offer them to you. Please take this brief survey and let us know your what you’d like.
